Picnic (in the rain?)

The young man and I are off to Stratford-upon-Avon to see the RSC's Julius Caesar. Due to the pressure of his relentless social calendar we are leaving in the afternoon and returning after the performance.

Both legs from last night's roast chicken remain and the plan was to take these and some salad and fruit and sup on the banks of the Avon before the performance. But the heatwave has turned to rain. It's raining here in London now and the BBC forecast for Stratford is for rain in the afternoon.

We might yet end up at the Dirty Duck.

The weather held and we were able to picnic...
